Job Title: Registered Domiciliary Care Manager
Employment Details
* Type: Permanent – 37 Hours Per Week (Flexible, incl. evenings & weekends)
* Responsible To: Operations Manager for Housing, Care & Support
* Location: Birmingham (Head Office: Woodgate Valley) – Citywide Role
* Salary: £42,287.62
Essential Qualifications
* Must have NVQ Level 5 or equivalent
* Ability to become the Registered Domiciliary Care Manager with CQC within first 6 months of employment
Main Objectives
* Maintain a high-quality CQC-rated service (currently Good), delivering over 4500 care and support hours weekly across the city
* Manage the Care Co-ordination Team and Senior Support Workers
* Ensure high-quality domiciliary care that meets Citizens' needs while maintaining dignity and independence
* Oversee coordination of Care & Support Workers city-wide
* Ensure consistency and high standards across the service
* Adhere to organisational policies and procedures
Responsibilities
Citizens
* Meet or exceed requirements of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014
* Recognise and meet the emotional, physical, medical, and material needs of Citizens
* Conduct needs assessments and develop personalised Care and Support Plans in partnership with Citizens and relevant agencies
* Provide Citizens with a Guide and written contract at the start of care
* Ensure Care and Support Plans specify exact needs and are met accordingly
* Carry out Person Centred Risk Assessments, including moving, handling, and medication where appropriate
* Maintain accurate documentation securely for inspections and data protection
* Understand and manage complaints professionally, consulting with the Operations Manager and Head of Housing, Care and Support
* Stay informed of care standards and CQC regulations and ensure compliance
* Work with the Operations Manager to ensure legal and regulatory compliance
Staff Management
* Provide leadership, supervision, support, and appraisal for staff under line management
* Oversee recruitment and selection processes
* Develop and pursue opportunities for service development and funding
* Involve Citizens in service development and reviews
* Attend management and partnership meetings
* Be flexible and willing to undertake various tasks as needed
* Follow safeguarding policies for vulnerable adults and children
* Devise staff rotas to ensure service continuity
* Cover duties of Care Coordinators when absent
* Monitor performance against KPIs and budget targets
* Participate in the 'On-Call' service
* Ensure timely processing of timesheets and payroll
* Manage staff leave and sickness records
* Complete CQC registration requirements and become the Registered Manager within 6 months
