The Opportunity
James Adams is proud to be partnering with a large UK-based VAR as they continue to expand their commercial leadership team. We are assisting them in the search for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead a team of talented Business Development Managers focused on the Financial Services and Insurance sectors .
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role within one of the UK’s most established and respected VARs, known for delivering cutting-edge IT solutions and services to top-tier clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Development Managers to drive revenue growth and win new business across the Financial Services and Insurance sectors.
* Develop and execute sales strategies that align with business objectives and client needs.
* Build a high-performance sales culture focused on client success and sustainable growth.
* Manage sales forecasting, pipeline reporting, and performance metrics for the team.
* Collaborate with internal teams (pre-sales, marketing, delivery) to ensure seamless client engagement and delivery.
* Build and nurture relationships with key client stakeholders and industry influencers.
* Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activity.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in leading high-performing sales teams within the VAR, technology reseller, or IT services sector .
* Deep understanding of the Financial Services and/or Insurance sectors, including key industry drivers and challenges.
* Strong leadership qualities with a passion for developing and mentoring sales talent.
* Commercially astute, results-driven, and client-focused mindset.
* Exceptional relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation skills.
* Strong organisational and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
