BACKGROUND TO THE ROLE
Working under the Data Strategy Director who manages the data and reporting relationship with the client and agency teams. This is a leadership role on the Volkswagen Brand Account working closely with Volkswagen Leadership. Highly regarded as one of the best, biggest and most dynamic global media accounts in the industry. This role also connects into the wider analytics team in the Decision Science part of PHD Global.
QUALITIES & EXPERIENCE
• Media agency background ideal
• Previous experience running account/s ideal.
Key responsibilities
• Managing data quality and reporting for Volkswagen brand globally
• Designing analytics approaches for scalable analytics and measurement solutions.
• Taking a brief and coming up with a solution that’s best practice and innovative.
• Analysis into campaign performance and budget setting
Stakeholder Management
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple work streams- essential.
• Comfortable working with senior clients- essential
• Experienced managing expectations with several stakeholders at once- essential
• Working closely with leadership on cross discipline projects - essential
• At ease working to quick turnaround times and enjoys a fast-paced environment - essential
• Understands & delivers against a bigger picture strategy whilst delivering the day to day - essential.
• A confident presenter with Strong PowerPoint skills - essential
Technical knowledge
• Data savvy – confident in an AWS environment (S3, Redshift, RDS)
• Mar-tech or performance background - understanding platforms such as Web analytics, DSPs or Adservers
• Code agnostic - must be hands-on confident in R and/or Python, SQL a bonus.
• Proven analytics background – evidence running medium to large analytics projects.
• Model theory - able to demonstrate a theoretical grasp of major statistical and ML processes (significance tests, regression, random forests, gradient boosting etc.) – desirable.
• Model practice – able to discuss/apply model theory to solve marketing challenges a plus.
• Automotive experience would be an advantage – more important is that you have worked with progressive and innovative brands.
• International experience would be a significant advantage but not a prerequisite.
