We currently provide travel assistance to about 1400 children and young people with special educational needs across the city. This role is central to the Home to School travel (HTS) assistance team. As a Senior Administrator supporting the HTS eligibility travel team you will be responsible for supporting the Home to School Travel applications system for children and young people with special educational needs and for children in care. It is also a very rewarding role as you will be part of a team whose focus is on enabling children and young people with special educational needs and children in care to achieve the best long-term outcomes possible.All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.Who are we looking for?The person we are looking for will be organised, an excellent communicator with highly developed IT skills, including in-depth knowledge of Excel and the ability to learn new databases quickly. You will need to work accurately, pay close attention to detail, and work under pressure to meet competing demands. You will also need to have the tenacity to follow things through. You will need to be highly literate with at least Level 4 qualifications in English and Maths. An excellent communicator, able to prioritise work streams in a busy environment, able to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, including families, children, young people, schools, colleges, health and social care. At all times, you will be able to demonstrate a 'person-centred' approach.
