We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our friendly primary school in Sutton. If you’re passionate about supporting children’s learning and enjoy working in a collaborative environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you to make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the diverse needs of students.
* Lead small group and one-to-one sessions, providing tailored support for students who require additional help.
* Assist with planning and preparing resources to support learning across the curriculum.
* Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the teacher and supporting intervention strategies.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
* Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement strategies for students with additional learning needs.
Who We’re Looking For:
* HLTA qualification or equivalent (e.g. Level 4 or above).
* Experience working in a primary school setting, ideally as an HLTA or in a similar support role.
* A passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
* A proactive and flexible approach to supporting students in a range of activities.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
