Based at Culham, Oxfordshire, or Griffin Park, Calderbridge, Cumbria (hybrid working)

Permanent, 37.5 hours per week

The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police service that’s dedicated to the nuclear industry. We’re looking for a BPSS (Business Process System Support) Reconciliation & Maintenance Officer to join our BPSS Support and Development team. The BPSS team provide an oversight of the Enabling Services responsible for managing corporate efficiency and business development across the CNC.

In this role you will work with a multi-disciplinary team of specialists, responsible for the management of integrated data and testing for business systems and their supporting processes. You will take the lead on data retention (relating specifically to GDPR) within the BPSS System Support & Development Team.

Some of your responsibilities in this role will also include:

1. Managing audit requirements, coordinating with workstream leads to ensure this is completed in line with audit timescales and requirements
2. Acting as the Subject Matter Expert in future projects, implementations and upgrades to BPSS systems; working with CNC project teams and suppliers.
3. Supporting the Development Manager in the end to end testing across the BPSS suite of systems, coordinating system managers and testers, ensuring interdependencies are taken into account during testing - involving raising of testing faults with System Admin/ Managed Service Partner and monitoring their progression to resolution
4. Supporting the Development Manager & DM with system changes or new integrations.
5. Manage and progress assigned Jira tickets

To be successful in this role you will have the following experience and skills:

6. Experience of implementing, or assisting the implementation, of system upgrades
7. Ability to use a range of ERP systems and exact data (Use of Power BI, Apex, Oracle Cloud Reporting, or similar)
8. Excellent Excel and spreadsheet skills and document writing skills.
9. Good communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
10. Organisation, ability to prioritise workload, time and deadline conscious, excellent attention to detail;
11. Research and analytical skills, which should include being able to analyse, interpret data sets and present data in a concise format.
12. Strong listening and recording skills with an ability to pay attention to detail.
13. Capable of working unsupervised.
14. The ability to travel

There will be occasional travel to other sites. A driving license is essential for this position in order to access these. Travel and accommodation will be paid for by the CNC.

27. Manage BPSS System audit requirements, liaising with workstream leads to ensure this is completed in line with audit timescales and requirements (. audit of user access twice yearly)
28. Act as Data SME (Subject Matter Expert) in future related projects, implementations and upgrades to the BPSS systems, working with interdisciplinary project teams comprising CNC, and Suppliers staff
29. Support the DM in the end to end testing regime across the BPSS suite of systems, co-ordinating all system managers and testers to ensure interdependencies are taken into account during testing. This includes raising of testing faults with System Admin/Managed Service Partner and monitoring their progress to resolution
30. Manage the production and maintenance of Knowledge Articles
31. Take the lead for the Oracle System Support & Development team on data retention (related to GDPR) which should be reviewed Quarterly
32. Support Development Manager & DM with system changes or new integrations.
33. Maintenance and closure of Finance month end processes
34. User access – both Oracle and ePayfact, updating the RBAC
35. Process and update system for Chart of Account changes approved by Finance Senior Team
36. Maintain Approval Groups in Oracle
37. Maintain and Action starter, mover and leaver changes in Oracle from information provided by HR
38. Triage emails in team inbox, actioning or assigning as necessary
39. Triage OSSD queue Oracle Helpdesk Tickets and assigning to appropriate member of the team.
40. Manage and progress assigned Jira tickets
