Job Description
We are currently looking to recruit a skilled and motivated Lead Buyer to be part of our Procurement Team based in our Head Office in Swindon, Wiltshire.
You will take responsibility for the procurement of materials, services and supporting the subcontract process by commercial teams, within a project, or section of a project.
The role also requires you to effectively manage relationships with key Supply Chain Partners and manage Categories of Materials or Services as directed by the Supply Chain Manager.
You will be responsible for developing and managing the supplier base to ensure it can meet the current and future objectives of the company.

Requirements
It is essential that you have a HNC/HND in either Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or Business and Supply Management and preferably, a Level 4 diploma with CIPS.
The role requires you to have at least 2 years’ experience operating as a Senior Buyer while being a procurement lead on an active project.
It is essential that you have hands-on practical experience working on an active Construction or Civil Engineering site (holding an understanding of site processes etc.).
Previous experience of working on NEC3 and NEC4 contracts will be a key element of this role.
