The role: Storage and Distribution Compliance Manager(6 to 12 months Secondment/ 6 to 12 Months Fixed Term Contract)
The Compliance manager ensures the storage and distribution organisation maintains H&S, Quality and financial compliance.
What you’ll do:
1. Lead a small team overseeing the S&D compliance portfolio.
2. Supports the S&D team to maintain Mandatory training, Working time limitations, Health and Safety, 145 procedure adherence and inventory financial controls.
3. Ensure all colleagues receive sufficient training and guidance to enable them to meet. Company/Airworthiness requirements
4. Develops plans and schedules for internal and external audits.
5. Dangerous goods control and compliance.
6. Drive a health & safety culture within the team.
7. Communication of compliance requirements to the S&D team.
8. Provide detailed analysis of compliance data to enable development of business safety & quality strategies.
9. Engage in and lead continuous improvement to reduce waste and improve compliance in the business.
What you’ll bring to British Airways:
10. Detailed knowledge of relevant aspects of Part 145, H&S at Work Act.
11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to be assertive when required.
12. Deliver engaging classroom-based compliance training,
13. Able to analyse data from multiple sources
14. Experience in warehouse and logistics organisation
15. People and team leadership skills.
16. Coaching and development
17. Engineering business awareness
18. Auditing and investigation skills
19. Detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements
20. Detailed knowledge of company processes and procedures applicable to the work environment and people management
Desirable Qualifications:
21. NEBOSH Level 3 certificate in Occupational Health and Safety - desirable
22. Comprehensive regulatory approval and technical knowledge.
23. Dangerous goods, known suppler and known consignor legislation knowledge
24. Auditing experience
25. Degree level or equivalent
26. Leadership qualification
27. Able to obtain an Airside Pass and Airside driving permit.
