JOB PURPOSE
Due to a number of large contracts wins in the nuclear and rail sector, they are looking for an experoenced Press Brake Operator / Programmer, who will be responsible for pressed parts & lasered parts, programming press brake and laser cutting machines.
You will also be responsible for uploading of data into the MRP software in a timely manner to ensure a smooth process is upheld within the department.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Press Brake Operator / Programmer – with the ability to read and interact with 2D and 3D CAD drawings and convert these from STP to DXF files for manufacturing purposes. Deal with relevant enquiries from internal and external parts suppliers. Issue files for production use in line with the project programme.
Machine programming – carry out remote programming for press brake and laser machines to enable parts production, in line with project programme.
MRP system – Upload relevant and accurate data into the MRP system in accordance with project schedules.
KPI’s – Meet project key dates for programming deliverables.
Other duties – perform ad hoc duties as may be required, commensurate with the grade of the post.
SKLLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Good knowledge Press Brake Operating & Programming
2D and 3D CAD design experience
Experience in press brake operating
Computer literacy
Understanding of relevant manufacturing processes
Good communication skills, including ability to work effectively within a team
Problem solving skills
Training and experience in the metal fabrication and parts manufacturing industry
Document Reference F-074-HR Rev 05
Engineering/manufacturing qualifications (completed apprenticeship, HNC,HND, etc).
CADMAN-B software experience
Progress Plus MRP software experience
Experience working within an ISO 9000 quality management system desirable
SALARY & BENEFITS
Up to £33k (DOE)
Monday to Thursday 7am – 5pm
Fridays off every week!
Overtime on a Friday offered
