About the Role
As the Resort Safety Shift Manager, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our guests' experiences. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our team is well-organized and ready to make a positive impact during each shift. Building and nurturing relationships with our guests will be at the heart of what you do.
Your support will be vital for team members, helping them manage their workloads effectively. You’ll provide feedback to the Resort Safety Managers on areas for improvement and review guest feedback to identify opportunities for enhancing our services.
In this role, you will:
* Conduct individual appraisals and coach team members to ensure a highly trained and fulfilled workforce.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including Fire, SIA, Licensing, and health & safety policies.
* Encourage innovation within the team to drive business results.
* Lead team selection, recruitment, and retention efforts with a focus on wellbeing.
At Butlin’s, no two days are the same! You’ll need to think on your feet, dive into tasks, and keep our guest experience as your top priority. This role primarily involves night shifts, with occasional daytime work for training and recruitment needs. Flexibility is key, as you will work a 5-day week across 7 days.
About You
We are seeking an experienced leader from a security or safety background who is passionate about delivering exceptional service. You should have:
* A strong commitment to putting guests first.
* Experience in training and coaching teams in a dynamic environment.
* A proven track record of leading teams in busy security or safety settings, balancing quality and safety.
* The confidence to direct and respond effectively in various situations while maintaining brand standards.
Your ability to lead, motivate, and engage your team, even during peak times, is essential. You should be adept at managing multiple priorities and adapting quickly to changing demands. With strong leadership skills, you will inspire your team to achieve outstanding results for both our guests and the organization.
Requirements: The successful candidate will hold an SIA (Door Supervision) License, Level 2 Door Supervision Qualification, First Aid Qualification, and a valid driving license.
