Position Title: Financial Director
Location-based: Unit 14 Graphite Way Hadfield SK13 1QH United Kingdom (Work on site)
Reports To: VP of Life Sciences BU/Head of Financial department
Your role
The Finance Director will play a pivotal role in guiding the financial strategy and supporting the company’s growth plans within the UK market. This leader will oversee all financial functions, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management, to ensure the business remains financially sound and agile. The Finance Director will collaborate closely with senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations to drive strategic initiatives and financial performance.
* Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company objectives, providing analytical insights to inform key decisions.
* Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS and company policies.
* Lead the budgeting process, and monitor financial performance to ensure alignment with forecasts and identify variance risks.
* Assess financial risks and implement controls to protect the company’s assets, ensuring robust compliance and governance frameworks.
* Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
* Build relationships with investors, auditors, banks, and other financial stakeholders.
Required Skills
* Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, MBA and related disciplines. (Must)
* 10+ years in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role; experience in CRO/CDMO industry.
* ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification preferred.
* Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and strong knowledge of UK accounting principles and regulations.
* Strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills, a collaborative approach, and strong leadership capabilities.
* Strong sense of responsibility, good communication skills.
* Fluent in English and Chinese. (Must)
