About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join us on a residential development in Bishops Stortford. You'll play a key technical role on site, ensuring the accurate transfer of design information into the real world, with a strong emphasis on foundations and level surveys from groundworks through to early builds.
This is an excellent contract opportunity of circa 5 months, ideal for someone with solid setting out experience on housing or groundworks projects. Own surveying kit is not essential, but it is a bonus.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct precise setting out and levelling for foundations, groundworks, drainage runs and structural elements.
* Interpret and work from design drawings, site plans and specifications to translate design coordinates into physical site markers.
* Establish and maintain site control points and benchmarks for construction teams.
* Carry out level surveys and check levels throughout the course of the works.
* Produce and maintain accurate site records, as-built checks and survey reports.
Work closely with site management, subcontractors and groundworkers to ensure works are delivered to specification and on schedule
