We have an exciting opportunity in the Women and Children's Division for a Specialty Coordinator in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. This is a 37.5 hours per week position, Monday to Friday, on an 8-month fixed-term contract or secondment to cover maternity leave.
This role is ideal for an enthusiastic individual looking to broaden their experience in managing administration. The successful candidate will prioritize patient care and seek opportunities to develop the service and personal skills to improve systems and processes aligned with Trust targets and values.
The responsibilities include managing a comprehensive administrative service for Consultants, medical staff, and Specialist Nurses; providing efficient secretarial support; acting as the first point of contact for communication; monitoring the consultants' timetable; coordinating inpatient and outpatient commitments; communicating appointment and admission information to patients and carers; and supporting the administrative pathway to ensure patients are seen within the mandatory waiting time targets.
