Salary: up to £29,074.42 - £42,579.53 Full Time Equivalent
Hours of work: Variable Hours up to 35 hours per week (inclusive of teaching and prep time), up to 52 weeks per year, Sessional/Casual

Role responsibilities
As a Lecturer in English here at COPC, your role will involve designing and delivering lessons, assessing students' progress through assignments/exams, and contributing to curriculum development. You will stay up to date with GCSE English Language curriculum and standards to provide relevant teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver English GCSE Language qualifications to 16-19 year old construction and vocational learners alongside their vocational studies at Highbury and North Harbour campuses.
* Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them improve their skills and achieve learning outcomes
* Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum design, program development and quality assurance initiatives
* Represent COPC with professionalism in every interaction
* Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and adherence to data protection regulations
* Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes diversity, equality and respect
Requirements to be successful
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
* Problem-solving abilities to resolve issues independently or with colleagues
* Previous experience in a similar role or substantial background within English (including GCSE)
* Ability to manage behaviour and set high expectations for students
* English qualifications are essential
* Level 5 Certificate in Education or equivalent or willingness to work towards
