A secondary school in the Keighley area is seeking a dedicated Religious Studies Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from May. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students and encourage meaningful discussions about religion, ethics, and philosophy.
The Role:
1. Teach Religious Studies across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering thought-provoking and engaging lessons.
2. Encourage students to explore different world religions, moral issues, and philosophical debates.
3. Prepare students for GCSE exams, ensuring they develop strong analytical and evaluative skills.
4. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom where students feel comfortable expressing their views.
5. Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop engaging lesson plans and curriculum resources.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience teaching Religious Studies at secondary level.
2. A passion for the subject and the ability to engage and challenge students.
3. Strong communication skills and a commitment to fostering an open and respectful learning environment.
4. An ability to adapt teaching methods to suit students of all abilities.
5. A proactive and enthusiastic approach to teaching and student development.
6. Two education or school-based references are essential.
7. A clear enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for one.
8. The legal right to work in the UK.
