What You Can Expect : Rhenus Logistics' is a fast growing Freight Forwarder looking to invest in our sales team and growth as part of our long term commercial strategy. ​We’re currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to focus on Air & Ocean Freight sales. In this role, you’ll be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities across Air and Sea freight to help us achieve our targets. Working in collaboration with our Road Freight Sales Team and our Air & Ocean branches, your expertise will directly contribute to expanding our market presence, strengthening our customer base, and driving sustainable growth across our multimodal offering. Manage own appointments and Customer visits. Maintain all appointments and opportunities within the Companies CRM System with a high level of Data Quality, Creating and maintaining a sales pipeline for presentation to the Commercial Manager. Compiling Customer Visit Reports and distributing as required. Working with the pricing team on quotations and tenders to support opportunities. Following Customer onboarding protocols to include Credit Applications, Credit Terms, creating SOPs. Working with the relevant branch managers and operation staff to successfully onboard new Customers. Maintaining and building Customer relationships with regular review meetings. Ensuring all agreed KPI’s are met at all times Attending UK Sales Meetings or internal meetings as required. Weekly meeting with Commercial Manager, either via teams or face to face What You Bring: Key Competencies: Commercially aware of Customers and industries in the Air & Sea Freight sector Ability to provide solutions for Customers and add value to secure business. Strong organization skills Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Relationship Builder Team player with the ability to work independently Excellent time management with the ability to work to strict deadlines Flexible and adaptable approach A high level of self-motivation and target driven individual. Skills and Experience 5 years experience in a commercial sales role Air & Sea sales and Operations knowledge, A proven track record on meeting or exceeding targets. Compiling Client proposals and quotations Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Package – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Experience of working with a CRM Qualifications GSCE in English and Math (Grade C and above) Drivers License Right to work in the UK
