Seccl is the Octopus‑owned embedded investment platform that’s on a mission to help more people invest – and invest well. We’re B‑Corp certified, rapidly scaling, and part of Octopus’s £multi‑billion group that revitalises broken industries.
The role
We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager for our Advisor Experience squad to ensure Seccl has the best and most trusted adviser proposition in the market. With our APIs at our core, we’re evolving to offer best‑in‑class digital experiences. The UK Advisor market is worth over £1.2bn – a huge opportunity for future growth.
You’ll lead initiatives to elevate our Professional and Investor UIs – an intuitive interface that transforms advice and investment. You’ll work closely with our top clients to build experiences that remove friction and anticipate needs, enabling advisors to focus on relationships.
What you’ll do
* Shape the advisor and UX strategy and roadmap for a fast‑growing fintech disrupting an outdated industry.
* Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and gather user feedback through various methods.
* Lead key product initiatives, representing the voice of the customer to reduce friction and improve efficiencies.
* Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to identify tooling to automate tasks.
* Contribute to a high‑performing, autonomous squad and mentor junior product managers.
* Influence broader product team and company strategy.
A typical day looks like
* Work with the Group Product Manager and clients to shape product vision and strategy.
* Prioritise a clear, value‑driven roadmap and manage the sprint backlog.
* Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to build valuable features.
* Translate product roadmap into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
* Engage users to validate solutions and drive evidence‑based decisions.
* Support growth of junior product managers through mentorship.
You’ll be successful if you have
* Extensive product experience across UX and back‑end products.
* Strong background working with UX and design teams to deliver intuitive interfaces.
* Analytical and quantitative skills for data‑driven decision‑making.
* A bias for action, proactivity, and the ability to spot opportunities.
* Clarity in ambiguous situations – structuring problems into actionable work.
* A customer‑centric approach that improves workflows and outcomes.
* Empathy for others, mentorship, and sharing knowledge.
This role isn’t for you if
* You prefer top‑down direction over autonomy and ownership.
* You’re uncomfortable working with or visiting external clients.
* You struggle to deliver in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment.
* You resist change.
