Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in the Blackpool (FY3) area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and support their learning journey in a nurturing environment. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language difficulties, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Your role will involve both one-to-one and small group interventions, helping pupils to access the curriculum and develop essential life skills. Key Responsibilities Provide individualised support to pupils with SEN, ensuring their educational and emotional needs are met. Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated activities. Implement EHCP targets and behaviour strategies under guidance from the SENCO. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Monitor and record pupil progress, reporting to the teacher and SENCO. Support pupils during break and lunch times where required. Requirements Previous experience working with children with SEN (school-based or similar setting). A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach. Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents. Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
