The Team
The Establishment team sits within the Crew Planning team as part of the Operations Strategy & Planning department. You’ll report to the Establishment Planning Manager and play a key role in developing and maintaining the crew Establishment plan, working cross-functionally with operations and commercial teams.
The Role
As Senior Establishment Planning Officer, you’ll be responsible for planning and managing the crew Establishment plan to ensure optimum crew levels for our Operational Planning and Crew Planning functions. You’ll oversee the associated financial budgeting process, ensuring our operation is safe, compliant and cost-efficient.
You’ll manage and support Crew Establishment Officers, set tasks and provide day-to-day oversight. Your work will involve:
 4. Administering the long-term Establishment plan and providing regular updates to stakeholders including Recruitment, Training, Flight Ops/Cabin Services, HR and Finance
 5. Tracking and reporting actual FTE data vs. budget, highlighting deviations and enabling action plans
 6. Overseeing key metrics to track crew performance and communicating insights to stakeholders
 7. Managing crew attrition and adjusting plans as needed
 8. Updating recruitment and training plans in line with operational needs
 9. Planning and communicating temporary basing requirements
 10. Developing and maintaining the crew leave plan and supporting the Crew Leave team
 11. Producing country data packs for union and works council reporting
 12. Forecasting and reporting on network and base crew block hour availability and productivity
 13. Producing a five-year crew establishment plan aligned with business strategy
 14. Supporting future schedule proposals and strategy
 15. Building collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
 16. Seeking process improvements to ensure tools and information flows are fit for purpose
What we’re looking for
 17. Educated to degree level or business equivalent
 18. At least two years’ operational experience in crew scheduling/planning or establishment, with knowledge of EASA FTL regulations and crew collective agreements
 19. Strong analytical and numerical skills, with proven experience in MS Office (especially Excel) and practical database skills (, MS SQL)
 20. Excellent communication skills, able to present complex information clearly
 21. Team player with a flexible attitude and ability to adapt to changing demands
 22. Experience of financial budgeting and forecasting in a dynamic environment
