Job Description
Reporting to the Regional Manager and leading a team of coaching staff, you’ll be responsible for delivering a high-quality, school-holiday experience, ensuring children aged 5 to 17 are safe, active, having fun, and learning together. Before the season, you’ll handle administration, team communication, planning, and venue preparation. During the season, you’ll be onsite from 8am to 5:30pm, acting as the first point of contact for staff, children, parents, venue, and our central office. You’ll also serve as the designated safeguarding lead, handling concerns, paperwork, risk assessments, incident recording, and OFSTED requirements.
Child safety is our top priority; you’ll supervise children, oversee activities, ensure equipment safety, and manage incidents, behaviour, and health and safety standards.
Person Specification (flexible)
* Availability for the full season (Mon-Fri, 8am-5.30pm), with a minimum of 3 consecutive weeks in summer
* 12 months’ experience working with children and young people
* 6+ months in a management or leadership role
* Childcare, sports, or teaching-related degree or qualification
* Knowledge of Child Protection, Safeguarding, and Health and Safety
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Organised and policy-following
* Vibrant, resilient, team player
* Flexible and adaptable
* Paediatric First Aid (training available)
