Gas Engineer (Commercial Gas)

Role Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Gas Engineer to join our Facilities Management team. The role involves undertaking a range of planned and reactive maintenance tasks, as well as minor installation works, across commercial sites.
You will be expected to demonstrate strong technical knowledge across mechanical, electrical, and building fabric systems, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a wider FM team. Participation in the company’s on-call rota is required.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned maintenance to gas appliances and pipework in line with contract specifications, industry standards, and company Health & Safety policies
* Attend to reactive and emergency breakdowns, completing all required paperwork and certification
* Perform planned and reactive maintenance across M&E systems and associated equipment
* Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports, timesheets, and certification
* Provide out-of-hours support as part of the on-call rota
* Assist colleagues and support the Contract Supervisor as required
* Ensure all tasks are completed within agreed contractual timescales
* Supervise visiting subcontractors, ensuring quality standards and Health & Safety compliance
* Maintain flexibility to support other engineers when required
* Accurately complete all work-related documentation in line with company procedures
Essential Requirements
* Current Gas Safe Registration
* Commercial gas qualifications including:
COCN1, CDGA1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TCPA1, Unvented Hot Water
* Minimum 3 years’ experience as a mobile multi-skilled engineer within the commercial sector
* Proven experience working with commercial gas systems
* Strong background in maintenance, particularly Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Heating services
* Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Qualifications
* Electrical qualification – 18th Edition (C&G 2382)
* OFTEC qualifications (101, 102, 105, 600)
* CSR / IOSH qualification
* IOSH Working Safely and/or CSCS Card
