Vehicle Cab Interior Systems Engineer Warwick (CV34 6TE) | 3 days onsite £40,000 – £55,000 DOE | No sponsorship available VIQU have partnered with a specialist vehicle engineering organisation developing advanced, safety-critical cab systems for high-performance and specialist vehicles. With a strong engineering heritage and a focus on structural integrity, occupant protection, and manufacturability, they are expanding their interior systems capability as they continue to evolve their next generation of cab platforms. They are now looking for a Vehicle Cab Interior Systems Engineer with proven cab or vehicle interior experience. Applications without direct cab/interior design exposure will not be considered. The Role This is a hands-on design role with ownership across core cab interior assemblies. You will drive designs from concept through to validation and production, ensuring safety, compliance, durability and production readiness. You will take responsibility for systems including: Dash and trim panels Door systems Floor systems and mats Seating and anchorage systems Working within an engineering-led environment, you will collaborate closely with manufacturing, tooling and suppliers to ensure designs are robust and fully aligned to production constraints. Key responsibilities include: Developing concepts and detailed 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings (BS8888) Managing full lifecycle design from concept through validation into production Leading material selection decisions based on performance, durability and cost Creating and maintaining accurate BOMs Supporting prototype builds, testing and validation activities Ensuring compliance with ECE regulations Driving continuous improvement across existing cab interior systems Technical Experience Required Cab & Interior Systems Expertise Proven experience designing vehicle cab or interior systems Strong understanding of structural interior assemblies and safety-critical seating systems Material Knowledge Plastics (ABS, PP, GRP, etc.) Rubber, foam and fabric materials Sheet metal and fabricated components Manufacturing Processes Vacuum forming Compression moulding Injection moulding 3D printing Tooling requirements including A/B surface development and surface finish control Regulatory Knowledge ECE R29 (Cab Strength) ECE R14, R16 and R17 (Occupant Protection) You will be confident using CAD (ideally Solid Edge, though SolidWorks, CATIA or NX are considered) and comfortable working cross-functionally within a structured engineering environment.
