Purpose of the role
The Videographer’s main focus will be capturing and powerfully bringing to life strategic insights, brand messaging and proposition, creative ideas and concepts. The role will help the evolution of innovative storytelling at TEAM LEWIS.
Filming and editing will include brand videos, product videos, corporate videos, interviews, case studies, events and showreels. Animation will include kinetic typography, motion graphics, title animation, 2D animation, Creative thinking and skills, technical knowledge and strong organizational ability are important in this role.
Dependent on client and new business needs, the Videographer may also be involved with EMEA-led clients, as well as with network-wide assignments.
Responsibilities
1. Review and recommend the range of services that should be offered, advising on equipment required, resources needed, rate card, etc
2. Develop ideas for creative use of video and partner with account teams to pitch video work to clients
3. Script, storyboard and film in accordance with project briefs and for new business pitches
4. Provide guidance and recommend solutions on emerging video technologies, such as 360 video, virtual reality and augmented reality
5. Script and film internal videos for corporate updates, house marketing, recruitment, events, etc
6. Script and film client videos in accordance with project briefs and for new business pitches
7. Set up lighting and audio equipment for shoots
8. Handle pre and post production editing (various formats); add 2D post production effects as required
9. Manage video projects from conception to delivery, including production timetables and costings; ensure workflow is logical and structured, delivering to deadline
10. Bring a high level of quality control to ensure that everything that is produced under the TEAM LEWIS name is striking, creative and professional
11. Interview and recruit key hires as required, helping to resource from your network
12. Overall, be a collaborative, encouraging, supportive member of the UK team.
About you
13. You have experience working in the video realm producing a variety of videos on a range of topics, ideally within an agency or corporate environment
14. Understanding of digital media techniques, videos, formats and compressions
15. Adobe Creative Cloud software including editing and animating in Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects is crucial; 3D animation (Cinema 4D) is a bonus
16. Experience in filming various styles of video, producing animation and combining the two
17. Excellent editing skills
18. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Confidence and great inter-personal skills
19. Storytelling. The ability to take a loose brief and create something conceptual and memorable
20. Has a creative vision and can write a directorial treatment
21. Self-shooting director but also with the ability to work within a video team
22. Experience of working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
23. Ability to work with a client (internal and external) to develop a concept and a script/storyboard
24. Able to create exciting and engaging content (short form, animation and longer form documentaries)
25. Ability to source venues, talent and additional crew when appropriate
26. Prepared to travel to client locations, conferences and events for filming
27. Excellent time management and organisational skills: proven track record of meeting deadlines and budgets
28. Ability to problem solve, project manage and multi-task
29. A passion for video that extends to researching and staying at the cutting edge of video/filming techniques and trends; connected within the creative community
