A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a senior and highly experienced Social Worker to work for a dynamic and progressive organisation to deliver Social Work education and leadership. This role requires a leader who is a passionate social worker, an innovator, and personally motivated to work with social workers in a range of different roles; care group leaders; corporate leaders and several multi-professional teams who support a high standard of clinical care provision, supervision, and education. The role will focus upon supporting the development of NHS Social Work and the professional identity of our social workers and representing the Trust at regional meetings, ensuring learning and opportunities are conveyed and utilised within the Trust.
Responsibilities
* Provide a highly visible educational and leadership role for all Social Work staff across all directorates, with a specific focus on adult services.
* Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders across Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) to ensure compliance with professional standards and the development of high-quality integrated care across the Trust.
* Emphasise social work student placements and the practice education of student social workers.
* Provide support and supervision responsibilities to Experienced Social Workers.
* Coordinate newly qualified social workers undertaking the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme and support their learning and development.
* Support the delivery of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes and the development of Social Work Apprenticeship.
* Represent the Trust at regional forums and ensure learning and opportunities are conveyed and utilised in Trust learning environments.
Qualifications & Experience
* Senior and highly experienced Social Worker with a passion for education, leadership, and workforce development.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with care groups, corporate leaders, and multi-professional teams in a health and social care setting.
* Experience with social work education, practice supervision, and student placements.
* Commitment to trauma-informed care and an understanding of NHS social work standards and professional identity development.
