Plumber
£34,434 - £36,363 per annum
37 hours per week plus out of hours rota
We are seeking a qualified, competent and experienced multi trade Plumber to work in our Housing Direct Works team. The post involves doing quick response plumbing jobs to deliver our front-line repairs service, working in vacant properties to provide multi trade remedial maintenance and providing new bathroom facilities as part of our complex works programme.
Tradesmen act as part of our team to deliver an effective responsive, void and planned maintenance service. They receive repair requests or direct instruction, analyse the extent of work required and carry out the necessary repairs to rectify the fault. You will undertake the work in a professional manner and to a high standard of workmanship utilising skills of your own main trade and skills in other trades for which you have been trained or deemed competent in undertaking.
Our tradesmen are expected to provide workmanship to a high quality and have a positive attitude towards our tenants.
The role includes out of office hours duties as part of an agreed rota.
A vehicle is provided with the post therefore a full valid driving licence is required.
Appointment to this post will be conditional upon receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service, before the appointment is confirmed. A Basic check will be required. This will contain details of convictions and conditional cautions considered to be ‘unspent’ under the terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
