Department Supervisor at Halfords
Base pay range: £13.01 per hour
Overview
Ready to take the next step in your Retail career? This role is the gateway to management. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of a department, supervising and coaching others to deliver market-leading standards to our customers. You’ll support the store management team to enable the best service delivery and maintain our high standards of customer service. You may have some key holder responsibility and will be committed to following all in-store security and stock loss procedures.
We invest heavily in training to help you develop your career, whether you want to progress in Retail or elsewhere in the Group.
Responsibilities
* Supervise or lead a small team on the sales floor
* Deliver great customer service, ideally in a retail or services environment
* Provide on-the-job training and coaching to others
* Work to tight deadlines
* Achieve exceptional results against sales targets
* Possess some technical knowledge in motoring or cycling (not essential; technical training is provided); a commitment to your own development is essential
Requirements
* Experience of supervising or leading a small team
* Experience of delivering excellent customer service
* Experience of on-the-job training or coaching
* Experience of working to deadlines
* A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
