About the Role
At The Foster Care Charity, our mission is transforming children’s lives through foster care. As a Senior Supervising Social Worker, you’ll play a vital role supporting foster carers so they can provide safe, nurturing homes where children can grow, develop and thrive.
Working mostly from home with regional travel, you’ll be part of a collaborative and values-driven team focused on supporting high-quality fostering practice and positive outcomes for children.
What Success Looks Like
* Foster carers feel supported, confident and valued
* Strong relationships are built with carers and partners
* Records and reports are clear, timely and high quality
* You contribute ideas, learning and support to strengthen the service
* Recruit, assess, supervise and support foster carers
* Conduct regular supervision visits and provide guidance
* Deliver training and support groups when required
* Maintain accurate records and produce professional reports
* Travel across your region to visit carers and attend meetings
* Participate in the out-of-hours duty system (approx. 6 times per year)
Qualifications & Experience
* Qualified Social Worker (Diploma / BA or equivalent)
* Registered with Social Work England
* Experience within fostering or Children’s Services
* Strong communication, organization and report-writing skills
* Able to work independently while staying connected to a team
