Supplier Governance is an increasingly important area for companiesin financial services. With high regulatory demands we need strong oversight and governance of Suppliers, especially those identified as Material and Key to NewDay!
Part of the Procurement team, this role is responsible for the controls and framework for handling our suppliers.
This is an oversight role taking ownership for providing training and reporting and supporting the wider Procurement and business teams with Supplier Governance activity.
Develop and deliver online & face to face modular Procurement process training and support business functions in their application of these processes.
Run Procurement system tasks and administration in relation to Supplier governance, user access and system set-up e.g. risk tag application, setting notifications, questionnaire and supplier approvals, optimisation and efficiencies and support the implementation of change requests.
Coordinate the Dunn & Bradstreet solution, managing access, supplier alerts, and ensuring that the supplier financial health process is followed and alerts are suitably followed up on.
Support the development and progression of supplier risk assessments and supplier management framework tiering including oversight of supplier governance procedures.
Manage scheduling of supplier management framework activities and questionnaires out to Supplier Managers, reporting on overdue actions and working to resolve issues relating to these.
Lead and support Supplier Governance reviews across the business with Supplier Managers and business functions.
Develop and own reporting capabilities out of the procurement system, provide regular reporting for Senior Management meetings, committees and sustainability metrics.
Work closely with Sourcing Managers to understand internal requirements for new supplier and new service request to ensure the Procurement system is optimised and fit for business purposes.
Handle ad-hoc payment requests submitted by the business to ensure they meet Policy
Provide support for company-wide projects, including roll out of any changes and/or data gathering for reporting.
Support the Supplier Governance Manager in ensuring systems and processes incorporate all regulatory and best practise requirements.

A risk focused role e.g. Supplier Risk, Compliance & Audit, Control & Governance, Operational Risk
Presenting concisely and clearly
Financial services, or a regulatory environment
And would love you to know or learn:
Sourcing processes and good contract interpretation skills
Procurement transformation (implementation & embedding of new processes and systems within the business)
