About the Role
Do you want to take your nursing (RGN, RNLD, RMN), occupational therapy, paramedic, or physiotherapy career in a new direction? Are you seeking a role where your attention to detail, compassion, and empathy are valued, alongside work-life balance, education, and opportunities to develop into the medico-legal profession? Or perhaps you wish to transition into Occupational/Vocational pathways?
* You will assess up to four to six customers per day.
* Assessments will be conducted on paper, telephone, video, or face-to-face.
* You will take clinical observations, ask questions, and create written reports.
* You will pass on reports to the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), which will decide on support for the customer.
* You will assess benefits such as Personal Independence Payments or Employment and Support Allowance managed by DWP.
Training & Development
Customers will have various clinical issues; you will receive industry-leading training from our client’s expert clinical tutors. This course will equip you with the skills to support customers and transfer your existing medical knowledge to this role.
Full training lasts approximately 6 months, during which you will be paid. This role maintains your registration with the RGN or HCPC, with revalidation support provided.
After training, ongoing CPD is available, with over 100 hours protected annually. Support with revalidation and career development within the organization is also provided. You will be assigned a clinical supervisor and can study for the Diploma in Disability Assessment Medicine, accredited by the FOM.
Your Requirements
Applicants should be nurses, OTs, Paramedics, or Physiotherapists with at least 1 year of inpatient experience dealing with diverse clinical conditions. Computer literacy and typing skills at 40 words per minute are advantageous. The role requires clinicians who are highly literate, detail-oriented, and possess adaptable communication skills.
