About the role
Make a real difference by becoming a Trustee with local business connections. This Rugby-based charity supports vulnerable people, including those with Learning Disabilities, Autism, ADHD, and Mental Health issues.
What difference will you make?
We have developed our provision over the last 5 years and are entering a new 3-year strategic planning period. We seek a trustee with connections to the local business community or family experience of disability to bring additional expertise to our board.
What are we looking for?
* Experience in a management role within a registered social landlord, housing association, or private provider
* Focus on key issues and support organizational outcomes
* Guidance on new initiatives within your expertise
* Partnership work and knowledge of effective business planning, governance, and management
* Ability to analyze risk and scrutinize business plans
* Experience in overseeing or developing new projects
What will you be doing?
As we celebrate our 75th year supporting the Rugby community, our board includes members from finance, HR, local government, private business, and education. We have expanded our supported living and care provisions and plan further development to meet local needs. We support over 100 individuals daily, employ over 200 staff, and operate various sub-groups including Finance, Development, and Quality & Policy. Trustees are expected to participate in these sub-groups and attend quarterly meetings.
