Hybrid working – allocated to office in Coventry For over 50 years we have been the voice of the public. Our free and impartial service helps people put things right with their local council or adult social care provider. We use what we learn from complaints to improve local public services and independent adult social care provision. We act with impartiality and make fair decisions after listening to both sides of the story and weighing up all the evidence. So, if you want to make a difference and have the perspective we’re looking for, please get in touch. For more information about us visit our website www.lgo.org.uk. The Role We know that our success depends on the integrity and skills of our staff. This challenging and rewarding role will put you at the forefront of our organisation and you will be the first point of contact for our customers looking to bring their complaint to us. You will manage customer’s expectations by building an in-depth knowledge of the LGSCO’s role and that of local public services and adult social care providers. Your experience of processing information, on the telephone, electronically or in writing is key to helping the organisation succeed. Location Our office is located at Cheylesmore House, 5 Quinton Road, Coventry CV1 2WT. Most of the training will be conducted alongside our existing staff, so during this period you will be required to spend much of your time in the Coventry office. Hybrid working is only subject to manager approval at the end of the probation period. Once granted, our advisors are then expected to work 1-2 days per week from the office. You will also need to attend in person to team meetings, training or other meetings as and when required. We particularly encourage applications from people from minority ethnic backgrounds who are currently under-represented within our organisation. The closing date for applications is 9am Monday 20 th October. Please note, if we receive enough applications to put forward to interview we may close the campaign early. Applicants are advised not to wait to apply. Interviews will be held in our Coventry office week commencing 17 November. To apply please click the Apply Now link below.
