About the Role
This role is ideal for candidates with strong manual machining experience. Time-served backgrounds are preferred but not essential for individuals with suitable hands-on capability.
Key Responsibilities
* Machining large, complex cast components to detailed engineering drawings and specified tolerances.
* Ensuring production targets and timeframes are met.
* Working a mixture of day and nights
* Conducting visual inspections to ensure quality and accuracy of machined parts.
* Setting and operating a range of manual machines including lathes and vertical borers.
* Marking and identifying materials correctly during the machining process.
* Working collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining the ability to work with minimal supervision.
* Following all company health & safety procedures and maintaining a safe working environment.
Skills & Experience Required
1. Experience within similar role, or within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
2. Strong ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings.
3. Competent in working to tight tolerances and using precision measuring equipment.
4. High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
