Reporting directly to the Service Manager, this role is pivotal in supporting the maintenance of customer equipment on-site and performing workshop activities for our aftermarket service team. You will primarily work at customer sites across the UK and overseas, providing installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance support.With an emphasis on mechanical systemsincluding pumps, rotating equipment, vacuum, and pressure systemsyoull play a key role in driving process improvements and maintaining strong customer relations while managing your schedule effectively to maximize productivity.About the CompanyNOV is a global leader in the design, manufacture, and sale of equipment and components used in oil and gas drilling and production, industrial and renewable energy sectors.
Our Manchester site fosters innovation, collaboration, and excellence in service delivery, making it a hub for high-impact careers.What We OfferCompetitive salary packageFull training on NOVs product linesCareer development and advancement opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative work environmentOpportunities for international travelKey ResponsibilitiesProvide on-site support for service maintenance and workshop tasks.Prepare and approve work packs for service team activities.Perform mechanical completion checks, factory acceptance tests, electrical function/loop checks, and leak/pressure testing.Compile detailed technical reports on customer equipment.Deliver aftersales support, including inspections, spare part identification, and technical advice.Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations.Work closely with internal stakeholders and engineering teams.Maintain accurate documentation using Microsoft Office tools.Travel daily to customer sites as required.Required profile: Qualifications & SkillsRecognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship (C&G, ONC, HNC).Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.Experience with installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical/electrical systems.Understanding of industry standards and wastewater procedures.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).Soft Skills (optional)Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.Self-motivated with the ability to manage time and tasks independently.What we offer: At NOV, we are committed to supporting your personal, financial, and professional wellbeing.
