About the Role
As a Property Secretary, you will provide critical support to fee earners through a range of administrative and secretarial tasks. Your work will help maintain efficient workflows, ensure compliance, and provide a professional interface with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and forms using Microsoft Word and Excel
* Manage diaries, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings
* Maintain accurate digital and physical filing systems, including archiving and retrieval
* Handle billing processes and financial administration
* Audio typing via digital dictation
* Respond to telephone and email enquiries professionally and discreetly
* Liaise confidently with colleagues and external clients
* Draft routine legal documents using standard templates
* Maintain client files in line with firm protocols and compliance standards
The Ideal Candidate
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a secretarial or administrative role within a legal environment
* Experience in commercial or residential property is preferred
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal software
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Highly organised, professional, and capable of managing competing priorities
