Responsibilities of a Behaviour Teaching Assistant:
* Supporting a pupil with Autism in navigating daily school life, using personalised behaviour strategies
* Building a trusting, consistent relationship that encourages confidence, independence, and emotional security
* Collaborating closely with class teachers, the SEN team, and the pupil’s family to implement effective support plans
* Helping develop social skills and positive coping mechanisms to aid in long-term progress and well-being
* Tracking progress, adapting support, and celebrating every step forward
Requirements for Behaviour Teaching Assistant role:
* Experience working with children with SEN, particularly Autism or behavioural challenges( desirable)
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach with a genuine commitment to inclusive education
* Strong communication and teamwork skills to work in partnership with school staff and families
* A proactive, solution-focused mindset and the ability to remain positive in challenging situations
