Miniclip is looking for a to join the Quality Assurance team in our Derby office. This is an outstanding opportunity to take on a role in quality assurance at one of the world’s top game companies. With over 250 million players each month, Miniclip connects with users across online, mobile, and social platforms — and as a Senior QA Tester, you’ll play a key part in ensuring we deliver the highest quality gaming experiences.
Please note that this is a hybrid position with at least 2 days per week from our Derby office.
What will you be doing at Miniclip?
Your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Lead the testing efforts across multiple 1st party game titles published by Miniclip, ensuring high-quality releases across all supported platforms.
2. Assist with the planning and owning the execution of QA test cycles for new releases and updates, coordinating with internal teams to deliver timely and thorough test coverage.
3. Support other QA testers, providing guidance on testing best practices, issue investigation, and test planning.
4. Drive continuous improvement of the QA process by evaluating current test strategies and proposing innovative tools, techniques, and documentation enhancements
5. Analyze player feedback, live data metrics, and industry benchmarks to proactively identify and address quality risks.
6. Contribute to automation initiatives and help define testing pipelines where appropriate
7. Advocate for quality across the entire product lifecycle, influencing decision-making through data, domain knowledge, and critical thinking. ##LI-AC1
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for a proactive, experienced professional with a passion for games and quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QA and leadership experience in cross-functional environments.
8. 4+ years of experience in QA/testing within the games or digital entertainment industry.
9. Understanding of test planning, exploratory testing, and release validation across mobile platforms (iOS/Android).
10. Excellent communication skills — able to distill complex issues and coordinate across departments effectively.
Skills and Experience
Required:
11. Familiarity with tools such as Jira, TestRail, and bug tracking systems.
12. Attention to detail and a structured approach to troubleshooting and test execution.
13. Comfortable with hands-on testing on a wide range of devices (Apple, Samsung, etc.) and OS versions.
14. A degree is welcome but not essential - we value hands-on experience and demonstrated ability above formal education.
Preferred:
15. Exposure to CI/CD workflows, test automation frameworks, or scripting is a plus.
16. Knowledge of live ops or testing at scale with real-time user data.
17. Experience with Unity or similar game engines.
