Location: Northamptonshire, East Midlands, UKMMEDIATE START!Siamo Recruitment iscurrently looking forTransportCoordinatorClerk to work for us at one ofprestigious clients in CRICK, NN6.Shift: Tuesday- Sat Nights 21:30-06:00.Friday- Tuesday Nights 21:30 - 06:00Pay Rate:Night£13.94 p/h, (£12.59+ £1.35shift allowence night)Role OverviewAs a Transport Coordinator, you are responsible for the day to day tasks in the transport operations team, managing key objectives and keeping within the budgetary constraints of the department including customer KPIs, whilst achieving the best possible level of service to internal and external customers.Role RequirementsSupport management of the shift plan, ensuring all necessary resources are available to meet the daily requirement. Prepare reports and keep all systems up to date. Managing within the current KPIs.Contact drivers to understand delays, manage any ad-hoc issues and escalate where appropriateResponsible for updating and maintaining data on the transport management system (TMS and Microlise)Pre Brief and De-brief drivers on the plan versus actual routes, noting and investigating any discrepanciesRespond to customer and stakeholder queries both quickly and effectively (Internal and External)Communicate effectively and deliver excellent customer service to all internal and external customersAccurate completion of documentation to meet depot process and legislative requirements and the managing of these documents on dispatch and return.Proactively manage the drivers daily plan and ensure enough driving / duty time is available to complete the routeMonitor all routes and ensure delays are kept to a minimumEnsure accurate completion of Driver Licence declaration and periodical checkAccurate collation of inbound and outbound pallet quantitiesEnsure clear and accurate recording of all equipment (Pallets and Trays)Engage positively with colleagues from all departmentsHouse Keeping to be carried out on each shift in line with the COVID 19 risk assessmentManage training of new staff on relevant systemsEnsure full compliance of transport and telematics systems for own shiftEnsure all consignments are updated on the TMS systemTake a proactive role in a culture where Health and safety is at the core of everything we doKnowledge and Experience required:Demonstrable good written and verbal communication skillsCommitment to health and safety, equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practices in employment and service provisionUnderstanding of the needs for confidentiality and compliance with service regimesConfident in using Microsoft office applications and transport systemsWorking knowledge of vehicle telematic systemsTakes ownership of issues within the team and can delegate effectivelyWorking knowledge of transport/drivers hours and regulationsWorking knowledge of tachographsUnderstand the financial impact on operational decisionsIf this sounds like the role you have been waiting for and you are looking for long term work please do not delay and apply today!
