We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our team as a Healthcare Assistant at Borough Green Medical Practice. You will be required to support the nursing and medical team in the delivery of patient care, performing a range of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure the efficient running of the practice.
Main duties of the job
* Clinical Support:
o Assist with patient examinations and procedures.
o Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking blood samples, blood pressure readings, and ECGs.
o Support the management of chronic diseases by conducting health checks and monitoring vital signs.
* Prepare patients for consultations and treatments.
* Provide health education and lifestyle advice under the guidance of a nurse or GP.
* Assist with wound care and dressings.
* Administrative Duties:
o Maintain accurate patient records and update clinical systems.
o Assist with the management of patient appointments and follow-ups.
o Support the practice team with administrative tasks as required.
* Infection Control:
o Ensure clinical areas are clean and well-maintained.
o Adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
* Work collaboratively with the nursing and medical team to deliver high-quality patient care.
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to service improvement initiatives
About us
We are a friendly, and caring nursing team, which includes three registered nurses and three HCAs. We are a large Medical Practice and have multiple departments which include Dispensary, Reception, Admin, ENT, Secretaries, 8 GP Partners and 3 salaried GPs and a Prescribing Clinical Pharmacist. We also carry out Minor Surgery, Vasectomies and have our own Community Gynae clinics. Other services provided include Physio, Midwife and Health and Wellbeing Coach.
All departments are very supportive and work collaboratively to ensure our patients receive the best level of care.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to healthcare professionals while ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients. The purpose of the role is to assist the clinical team in the service and delivery of the care management of the practice population. The post holder works under indirect supervision of the clinical team and undertakes tasks and duties delegated by the clinical team or a suitably qualified regulated professional. They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of a patient, following policy and procedures while providing supervision to more junior staff.
