The Opportunity
Due to a current management transition and the growth of the company, there is an exciting opportunity to join a successful small business on the Holmethorpe Industrial Estate in Redhill in a key position.
Covair Structures is the leading UK manufacturer and provider of air supported domes for the sport and leisure industry around the UK with over 100 sites with many high-profile customers such as David Lloyd Leisure, Virgin Active and other major tennis and football clubs.
As we navigate through an exciting period of transition and growth, we are seeking a dynamic Head of Operations and Account Management to be the cornerstone of our operational success, acting as a pivotal support system for our Managing Director, site engineer team and client base.
The role
As the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of client projects and relationships, streamlining our operational processes, and leading our site teams with a focus on efficiency, safety, and client satisfaction. This role demands a high level of initiative, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and exceptional organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Company daily schedule: Coordinate the challenging weather-impacted schedules for projects and site staff
* Team Management: Manage site engineers, staff certifications, training & development to ensure team competence
* Account Management: Client support, customer quotes/ invoices and maintaining positive relationships
* Project Management: Manage site projects including client comms, coordination of suppliers and temporary staff
* Operational Improvement: Maintain, develop and implement processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency including managing our CRM
* Procurement: Manage stock, order components, negotiate supplier costs & hire tools to meet project requirements
* Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations across all projects and office environments
* Office and operational management: IT support, liaise with landlord, manage cleaners, office equipment, vehicle fleet, ensuring facilities are maintained
* Financial Management: Client quotes and invoices. Project budgeting, budget analysis & cost cutting
About You
* Proven experience in Operations Management
* Strong project and account management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
* Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities
* Resilient and adaptable, not phased by challenges and capable of working under pressure
* Excellent leadership and team management qualities, with a firm yet caring approach
* Proficient in financial management, budget tracking, health & safety regulations, and CRM systems
* A proactive problem-solver with a high level of initiative
