Join The Vet Centre as a Registered Veterinary Nurse on a 12 month fixed-term contract. We value energetic, compassionate, and driven nurses who want to develop their career and utilise their nursing skills to the full. This is a full-time role with a supportive team and a varied caseload.
Responsibilities
* Carry out general nursing duties, including nurse clinics, anaesthesia, and patient care.
* Work independently during certain periods alongside vets and receptionists as part of a busy team.
* Contribute to high-quality clinical care and support patient well-being in a patient-facing environment.
About the Practice
The Vet Centre is a 2-site practice with a strong reputation for high-quality care. We are RCVS accredited and equipped to perform cardiac scans, endoscopy, laparoscopic spays, and dental radiography. Our main site is in Maids Moreton, Buckingham, with a branch in Potterspury, Towcester.
Our team includes 5 veterinary surgeons, 4 registered veterinary nurses, 2 student veterinary nurses, 1 veterinary care assistant, and 3 receptionists. We support ongoing professional development and a culture of growing our own veterinary nurses of the future.
Working Pattern
This is a full-time 12 month fixed-term contract, offering 40 hours per week. Shifts can be spread across 4 or 5 days, with patterns between 8:00 am and 6:30 pm. There is a 1:5 Saturday rota (8:30 am – 12:30 pm) with time off in lieu and no out-of-hours work involved.
