Location: United Kingdom (Nationwide Site-Based Projects) Employment Type: Contract / Project-Based (Self-Employed Contractors) Role Overview We are looking for experienced Industrial Spray Painters / Surface Preparation Operatives to support UK power station, industrial plant, and steel structure projects. The role is fully site-based and involves spray painting and corrosion protection works on heavy industrial and infrastructure assets. This position is offered on a contractor, project-by-project basis, with payment agreed per project according to site scope and delivery requirements. Key Responsibilities Perform on-site industrial spray painting and rust / corrosion removal works Prepare steel and metal surfaces including cleaning, sanding, blasting (where required), and coating preparation Apply protective coatings in line with project specifications and quality standards Complete works in accordance with site programme and deadlines Attend power plants, industrial facilities, and steel structure sites across the UK Follow all site Health & Safety procedures, including RAMS, permits to work, and toolbox talks Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, and main contractors Requirements Valid CSCS Card (essential; additional site cards are an advantage) Certified industrial spray painting / surface preparation training Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in industrial painting and rust removal Previous experience on power stations, industrial plants, or steel structure sites preferred Willingness and ability to travel nationwide across the UK Strong reliability and ability to work to strict site schedules and completion targets Legal right to work in the UK What We Offer Contract-based engagement (non-employed, project scope defined by contract) Project-paid rates, agreed per job Ongoing opportunities across UK infrastructure and industrial projects Professional, safety-focused site working environment Application To apply, please provide: CV Copies of CSCS card and relevant industrial spray painting certificates
