Are you highly organised, proactive, and skilled at juggling multiple priorities? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where your planning and problem-solving skills directly impact customer satisfaction and operational performance?

We are a well-established and growing business in the facilities and compliance services sector, delivering essential support to clients across the UK. To strengthen our operations team, we are looking for a talented Operational Planner to take ownership of scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of our field engineers.

This is a vital role at the heart of our service delivery, ensuring our engineers are in the right place, at the right time, with the right information to succeed.

What you’ll be doing:

Coordinating and managing engineer workloads to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective service delivery

*

Scheduling work up to a month in advance, planning routes to minimise travel time and maximise time on site

*

Monitoring travel and site times, reporting against KPIs to improve efficiency and performance

*

Allocating tasks effectively, ensuring compliance with working time regulations and health & safety requirements

*

Communicating with stakeholders, customers, and engineers to keep everyone informed and aligned

*

Problem-solving in real time, adapting quickly to last-minute changes and finding alternative solutions

*

Managing multiple systems, customer portals, and databases to ensure all documentation is processed accurately and on time

What we’re looking for:

Experience in workforce planning, scheduling, coordination, or a similar role

*

Strong organisational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail

*

Ability to adapt quickly and remain calm when plans change at the last minute

*

A customer-focused communicator who can build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders

*

Confident using databases, scheduling tools, and customer portals

*

Knowledge of compliance requirements, including working time regulations and health & safety, would be an advantage
