About the Role
Provide Environmental and Sustainability leadership and day‑to‑day coordination for Painter Brothers’ (PB) sustainability reporting, compliance, and improvement activity.
Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate all E&S and sustainability reporting for Balfour Beatty, clients, and internal PB leadership.
* Act as the central point for E&S data collation, validation and submission.
* Ensure reporting is accurate and delivered to required standards and deadlines.
* Develop PB’s approach to embodied and operational carbon.
* Oversee collection and management of key environmental data across materials, fabrication, processing, logistics, and waste.
* Develop and maintain tools, templates, methodologies, and assumptions for carbon reporting.
* Continuously improve data quality, traceability, and audit readiness.
* Develop E&S reporting requirements across supplier categories (materials, services, logistics, fabrication, coatings).
* Lead supplier engagement on E&S performance and expectations.
* Support supplier onboarding and assessment (e.g. ISO 14001, BES 6001, EPDs, carbon data, modern slavery controls).
Qualifications
* UK Driving Licence.
* Relevant degree or experience in sustainability within manufacturing or construction sectors.
* Experience of environmental compliance and sustainability within the manufacturing industry preferred but not essential.
* Professional membership preferred (e.g. PISEP).
* Working and practical knowledge of ISO 14001.
