We are currently recruiting for an NPI & Production Engineer, you will be responsible for providing an efficient assembly process flow and effective control plan for new products and newly introduced legacy products, targeting a right first-time build.
You will provide key support to production to help maintain and improve quality, cost and delivery performance by providing online technical support, standard operating procedures, assembly tooling and visual aids. Providing the required tooling (i.e. stencils/ fixing/solder jigs) prior the slot date and ensure visual aids and other assembly instructions are provided.
Conducting PFMEA/other quality methodology to identify the associated risks and establish control prior to the manufacture of new products
Facilitating Process, Quality, and Cycle Time/UPH improvement, involving representatives from other departments to promote teamwork and awareness
Promoting quality awareness and setting good practice example to operators
Designing fixtures and jigs required during PCB and Box Build Assembly
Assembly monitoring to minimize downtime in order to successfully meet OTIF/ turnaround
Carrying out post build reviews to document all key elements that lead to the success and/or lessons learnt during the assembly of the new product are handed-over to Production Engineering and Production for future build
Identifying design faults and raising suggestions through DFX Analysis
Promoting continuous improvement and quality awareness
