Job Purpose:
Ensuring the effective performance of Quality Control activities required to demonstrate product conformance, while adhering to company and client procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Establishing good working relationships with all managers, superintendents, production and Q.C personnel to ensure effective operation of all Quality Control activities at appointed Fabrication facility.
* Reviewing, revising and approving Material Requisition Books (MRB), ensuring customer requirements are verified.
* Coordinating all QC activities including review of material certification.
* Ensuring that the appropriate levels of quality are met, and that final product produced is compliant with customer specification and expectations.
* Ensuring all aspects of NDT and dimensional tolerances for fabrication are correct and ensuring that all necessary certification is in place prior to final release.
* Preparing documentation for 3rd party inspectors and client representatives prior to final release.
* Organising and liaising with 3rd party inspectors and client representatives ensuring requirements are complete for existing works.
* Ensuring full traceability of weld and material information is maintained and recorded on the company database.
* Reviewing and verifying documentation dossiers for accuracy prior to submission.
* Developing self in accordance with the changing responsibilities of the role.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Essential:
* Experience in a fabrication environment.
* Inspection experience.
* Desirable:
* Ability to co-ordinate internal resources and 3rd parties.

Work Environment/Conditions:
* Location: Determined by assigned Fabrication Facility.
* Full-Time: 40-hours per week.
