An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and qualified Level 3 Nursery Assistant to join a reputable early years setting located in Hammersmith and Fulham. This is a full-time position, commencing in September 2025, ideally suited for a nurturing, proactive individual with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional early years education and care.
Position Summary
The appointed candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the nursery, working collaboratively with the wider team to ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children. The role demands professionalism, compassion, and a deep understanding of child development in the early years.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the planning and delivery of engaging and developmentally appropriate activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
* Provide high-quality care to children aged 0-5, ensuring their physical, emotional, and cognitive needs are met.
* Foster a positive and supportive learning environment where every child is valued, included, and encouraged to thrive.
* Build effective relationships with children, parents/carers, and colleagues, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Observe, monitor, and record children’s progress, contributing to individual learning journeys and assessments.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organised classroom and outdoor learning space.
* Ensure strict adherence to safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality policies at all times.
* Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and supervision as required.
* Support with toileting, feeding, and other personal care routines as appropriate.
* Contribute to the overall ethos and values of the nursery setting, promoting inclusion and diversity.
Requirements
* A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare (as recognised by the Department for Education).
* A valid Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one prior to appointment.
* A sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and current early years best practices.
* Minimum one year of experience in an early years or nursery setting (preferred).
* Strong organisational, observational, and record-keeping skills.
* A warm, caring, and positive attitude with a genuine passion for early childhood development.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently.
* Right to work in the UK.
