We are seeking a motivated Accounts Assistant to join a dynamic and supportive finance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy office environment, enjoys problem‑solving, and wants to contribute to the smooth running of financial operations. 1. Cash management: counting, reconciling bank and cash accounts
2. Ledger control: managing sales and purchase ledgers, reconciling against purchase orders
3. Payments: preparing weekly and monthly supplier payment runs
4. Credit control: handling customer queries and supporting debt management
5. General ledger: processing and reconciling entries
6. Journals: assisting with prepayments and accrual postings
7. Collaboration: attending meetings and following up on agreed actions
You will need some office-based experience as an Accounts Assistant, a Finance Administrator or in a similar role. An Accounting/Finance qualification is beneficial but not essential. You will need to be IT savvy with some good Microsoft Office exposure, and have familiarity with accounting software (Sage experience advantageous). Naturally, as is the case with all finance roles, strong attention to detail, accuracy, and excellentmunication skills are essential.
