We are looking for a motivated and dedicated Nursery Manager to join our wonderful team at Cosy Cottage Nursery School.
As the Nursery Manager, you will provide high quality leadership and childcare within the community. You will over-see the day-to-day operation of the nursery to the highest standards, supporting and leading the wonderful team at Cosy Cottage.
Cosy Cottage is a highly regarded nursery, registered for 34 children per day. It is a busy nursery that has a high demand for places. Cosy achieved 3x Very Good and 1x Good gradings in its most recent Care Inspection, and have also received its Eco-Schools, Green Flag Awards.
As a Nursery Manager, you will lead a team to deliver outstanding care and education to all the children in your setting, and through inspirational leadership drive employee engagement, retention and performance. You will work in partnership with Senior Managers and your Deputy Manager to recruit, nurture, and continuously develop high performing colleagues, as well as identify and action continual Nursery growth. You will optimise nursery performance and cost efficiency in line with staff ratio requirements.
Responsibilities
* Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with regulations, policies and standards.
* Lead and support the team at Cosy Cottage, providing guidance and training as needed.
* Offer supportive and effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
* Oversee the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children in the nursery.
* Ensuring Child Protection policies are in place and upheld by all staff and to ensure that the nursery is implementing GIRFEC to support and nurture the children in our care.
* Manage budgets, resources, and staffing levels to ensure efficient operation of the nursery.
* Foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork among staff members.
Skills
Full and relevant Level 3, working towards Level 9 or holds Level 9 in a relevant Early Years qualification
A minimum of 1 year experience within an Early Years leadership role (ideally as a Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, or similar)
Experience of participating with a regulatory inspection, leading to a 'Very Good' or 'Good' outcome
Experience of developing high performance teams, with effective regulatory compliance, quality improvement and use of innovation to grow and develop the Nursery and staff team
Confident decision maker, with ability to support change and within a regulated and Council Partnership setting
Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carers

Pay: £31,200.00-£35,360.00 per year
