Job Description: Young Persons Support Worker
Position Overview
B&H CALL is seeking passionate and experienced individuals to support and promote independence for young people in our supported accommodation settings in Salisbury, Wiltshire. This full-time position can also be split between staff to accommodate existing jobs. Successful candidates will be dedicated to our mission of delivering person-centred care that fosters self-reliance and self-worth among the young individuals we serve.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide support to vulnerable, homeless, and marginalized young people.
* Facilitate the development of skills and confidence to help young people lead fulfilled lives.
* Build and maintain trusting relationships with young people.
* Promote independence by encouraging self-reliance and positive self-image.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to written reports.
Skills and Abilities
* Ability to use initiative and make decisions relevant to the role.
* Strong listening and effective verbal communication skills.
* Competent in written communication and record-keeping.
* Proficiency in IT, including email and Microsoft Word.
* Teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
* Compassionate, recovery-focused care that values diversity and equality.
* Enthusiasm for professional development and service improvement.
* Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations.
Remuneration and Benefits
* Competitive hourly rate: £ £14.50, with additional incentives on Bank Holidays.

Requirements
* Current UK residency and the right to work in the UK.
* Confidence in working both as part of a team and independently.
* Excellent communication skills and professional boundaries.
* Friendly, organized, and strong work ethic.
* Ability to listen and follow through on tasks.
* Understanding of when and where to signpost is essential.
* Previous experience working with young people is highly desirable.
