Semi-Senior Accountant – Accountancy PracticeWest Oxfordshire
Permanent, Full-Time

We are seeking a Semi-Senior Accountant to join our growing team at either our Witney or Chipping Norton office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and dynamic accountancy practice.
About the Role
As a Semi-Senior Accountant, you will:
1. Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery across a range of sectors.
2. Work closely with the Portfolio Director, supporting them in client management and strategic planning.
3. Handle a variety of tasks, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving skills.
4. Engage in regular client contact, building strong relationships and providing proactive advice.

Key Responsibilities
5. Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limitedpanies.
6. Preparation of corporation tax and personal tax returns.
7. Assisting with management accounts and bookkeeping where required.
8. Liaising with clients to resolve queries and provide guidance.
9. Supporting junior team members and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Requirements
10. Previous experience managing a client portfolio within an accountancy practice is essential.
11. Qualified (ACA/ACCA) or qualified by experience will be considered.
12. Audit experience is desirable but not essential.
13. Strongmunication skills – you will be client-facing and must be confident and approachable.
14. Knowledge of IRIS software is helpful but not essential (training provided).
15. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Arrangements
16. Based at our Witney or Chipping Norton office.
17. Hybrid working available after initial training and settling-in period (typically 3 days in office, 2 days WFH).
18. Full-time or part-time hours considered.
19. Standard full-time hours: per week.
